Dressing up an eating area to make it more comfortable with chandelier lighting gives a more intimate and warm feeling to the people dining with you. Combine this with a nice dimmer switch and the sliding of a finger can set just about any mood tone.

Chandelier light has been around for centuries, and regardless if candles or electrical light bulbs are used, chandeliers lighting sets the ambiance of any room that contains these classic fixtures. Staying at home with your spouse for a special romantic dinner while granny watches the kids is totally enhanced.   The low yellowish tint of the light similar to having candles burning.

The good news is that there are so many different chandelier models available on the market today, you can find one unique enough that will not likely be copied by friends or family. By far, the elegant and classic look in a high ceiling foyer or formal dining room is the crystal chandelier, and has a timeless appeal to almost anyone.

Installation of a chandelier is fairly straightforward and even the most slightly skilled handymen can do this by themselves. Some caveats to consider before buying and trying the do-it-yourself angle are whether or not the current ceiling fixture mount strong enough to hold the weight of the new light. Will you need more than one person to install your new chandelier, and will you need additional wiring for a successful installation? In addition, what about the new dimmer switch your wife wants installed; can you handle the electrical needs of this situation as well?

Check with the store that you are purchasing the unit from and see if they offer professional installation, and how much do they charge? You may be able to get a discount for the install when negotiating the price of the lighting feature you want to purchase. If you bought the unit online, you may want to still check with local lighting stores about their installation services. Usually, if you have a neighbor that is an electrician you may be able get them to help for the cost of a good home cooked meal.
