Indoor Lighting

battery operated led lightsLighting technology has advanced to the point that you can illuminate anything any where in your home, college dorm, or even that old tool shed at the back of your property. Using battery operated LED lights you can light up a closet that does not have a conventional incandescent bulb installed in the ceiling or a dark cabinet or to even add backlighting to an object you want to show off to visitors. There are literally several hundred manufacturers of these tiny lighting units, and one of them will have the right application for your lighting needs.

A battery powered led light uses very little energy, and operates with conventional AA or AAA batteries, and in some cases multiple watch batteries. You may remember seeing TV commercials or infomercials in the past for lighted discs that can be attached to any surface and by pushing the bezel, you can turn them on and off. Well that technology is still alive today, but with the low power led lights instead. One brand named stick and click is available, and comes in three packs for only about ten dollars. You will never run out of ideas for these compact and versatile lights.

Battery operated Christmas lights for a small Christmas tree on your desk at work will produce a less cluttered decoration due to the lack of having to run an extension cord to normal Christmas lights. The same lights can be used in areas of the home where an electrical outlet is not available, like in attic windows, lining a string of lights on the banister of your stairs or lining bookshelves to enhance your seasonal decorating theme. Some of these units include a control panel that allows for oscillation of the lights to create a sense of movement.

Battery operated led lighting can also be used in an emergency when there is a power outage in your home. Use them to line the hallways to help navigate your home in the dark until the power comes back on. Keep a set in the glove box of your automobile to help illuminate an area while changing a flat tire, or having to perform repairs under the hood. Keep an extra set of the batteries required with the lights in case an extended use is necessary to complete a task by the side of the road. As with all battery operated LED lights, they will last for thousands of hours before the bulbs burn out, and the only maintenance required will be battery replacement.
